Lead Instrument Engineer (FPSO / Perm Job)

The Opportunity:

Our client is a leading global engineering and technology solutions provider supporting offshore energy and maritime industries. They are seeking an experienced Instrument Engineer to lead instrumentation engineering activities for major offshore projects, including FPSOs, offshore platforms, and brownfield developments.

The Job

• Lead instrumentation and control engineering activities across project lifecycles.
• Review and approve key engineering deliverables, standards, and technical decisions.
• Manage instrumentation design, ICSS integration, and safety system implementation.
• Support HAZOP, SIL, FAT, SAT, commissioning, and startup activities.
• Interface with clients, vendors, EPC contractors, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Mentor engineers and drive technical excellence within the discipline.

The Talent

• Degree in Instrumentation, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of Instrumentation & Control Engineering experience in offshore Oil & Gas projects.
• Strong experience in FPSOs, offshore platforms, floating production facilities, and brownfield projects.
• Proven track record as a Lead Engineer or Discipline Lead on EPC/EPCI projects.
• Knowledge of IEC, API, ISO, NORSOK, and relevant industry standards.
• Experience with ICSS systems will be advantageous.
