Lead IT Security Engineer

For our client, we are seeking a Lead IT Security Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Healthcare space.

This role will lead critical cybersecurity efforts that protect manufacturing and enterprise environments while supporting the integrity of operations across the business.

The position will focus on incident detection and response, security operations, risk assessment, and vulnerability management in a regulated healthcare setting.

You will partner closely with IT, operational stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to strengthen safeguards, address risks, and improve security practices across the organization.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $104,134 – $163,640 annually

Responsibilities

• Lead incident detection and response for manufacturing and IT systems
• Manage Security Operations Center (SOC) operations focusing on production integrity
• Conduct security risk assessments and threat modeling for medical devices
• Implement security measures between IT and operational technology
• Drive enterprise-wide vulnerability management
• Mentor team members on incident response and security practices
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to address cybersecurity risks

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Engineering, IT, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, preferably in regulated industries
• Hands-on experience with SIEM/XDR platforms and vulnerability management
• Strong knowledge of security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001)
• Familiarity with compliance regulations like SOX and GDPR
