About the Role

We are hiring a senior Lead Java Developer to own architecture and delivery for enterprise applications in a large life insurance and administrative processing environment. You will lead a delivery team, guide design decisions, and stay hands-on in code and production issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Define architecture, integration patterns, and technical standards for cloud-based, service-oriented applications
• Design and build microservices and REST/SOAP services using Spring Boot
• Lead the full SDLC: requirements, design, development, testing, and release
• Mentor developers, run code reviews, and be the technical escalation point for the team
• Support production systems, including root cause analysis and performance tuning
• Work with business stakeholders and product owners to turn requirements into technical solutions
• Communicate progress and technical decisions clearly to non-technical stakeholders

Must-Have Skills

• 15+ years of hands-on Java development
• Strong Core Java: multi-threading, concurrency, collections, JVM tuning
• Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, Spring Data JPA
• Cloud service-oriented architecture and microservices design (AWS or Azure)
• Life insurance domain experience (policy administration, annuities, underwriting, claims, billing, or similar)
• Excellent spoken and written English
• B.Tech / B.E. (4 years)

Good to Have

• Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD (GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps)
• Kafka or RabbitMQ
• Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL
• Batch processing and job scheduling (Control-M or equivalent)
• Observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk)
