Your Task

The Lead Java Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex software applications while managing all phases of the software development lifecycle. As the Login & Access Hub, the team provides a central authentication service for millions of external customers, enabling access to essential services such as TV, email, Customer Center, and OneApp. With over 70 million logins and 15 million unique active users daily, this functionality is critical to the customer experience. This role involves acting as a technical leader and mentor, ensuring architectural consistency and guiding the development team toward best practices. The Lead Java Developer collaborates closely with Product Owners and Managers to align technology decisions with business objectives and contributes to strategic initiatives. This position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies in an agile environment that fosters innovation, scalability, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain software applications for strategic products
• Analyze requirements, prepare solution designs, and implement features
• Automate infrastructure and application deployments
• Monitor and optimize system performance to guarantee high availability and reliability
• Contribute to system testing and support fault analyses
• Develop and execute unit tests to ensure code quality and functionality
• Work in SCRUM team on developing and building complex application solutions for customer DTAG
• Implement customer's requirements based on specification in selected object-oriented programming language into functional and user-friendly application
• Provide testing of programmed functionality before deployment to avoid bugs and ensure quality of code
• Listen to user requests, consult with internal and external customers, and project managers
• Mentor team members and guide them toward best practices
• Take part in internal evaluation processes

Your Profile

We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Java Developer with extensive expertise in Java development, Spring Boot, and modern software engineering practices. The ideal candidate will have strong technical leadership abilities, advanced knowledge of cloud technologies and containerization, database development experience, and a passion for AI and continuous learning.

Must Have Skills

• Master's degree in Information Technologies
• At least 7 years of experience in ICT Systems Engineering
• Expert-level programming skills with Java
• Strong knowledge of Spring Boot
• Strong knowledge of Hibernate
• Advanced knowledge of RESTful APIs
• Advanced knowledge of web services
• Advanced knowledge of containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
• Advanced knowledge of CI/CD pipelines
• Advanced experience with database development (OracleDB, PostgreSQL)
• Skilled in working with Linux-based operating systems
• Strong general IT skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong analytical thinking skills
• Strong team cooperation skills
• Mentoring abilities
• Product management skills
• English language proficiency at upper-intermediate level (B2)
• Experience from a senior application development position
• Passion for AI and commitment to continuous learning

Salary: Final salary is negotiable.

We are offering base salary depending on seniority level and previous experience of candidate. In addition to base salary we provide variable part and other financial benefits. Base salary will not be lower than €4,100 gross.
