Lead Line Cook

Rich Island is seeking an experienced, reliable, and motivated Lead Line Cook to join our kitchen team in Merritt Island, FL.

This is a hands-on cooking position with opportunities for increased leadership responsibilities. The selected candidate will initially work alongside experienced kitchen staff to learn our operations, recipes, quality standards, and service procedures.

Our kitchen typically operates with two line cooks, with three to four team members during busier shifts. The ideal candidate must be comfortable working efficiently in a small team, maintaining consistent food quality, and coordinating orders during high-volume service.

As the candidate becomes familiar with our operations, they will be expected to take greater responsibility for coordinating the kitchen line, supporting other cooks, and independently leading shifts.

Additional Responsibilities

• Work alongside kitchen leadership during the initial training period.
• Learn and consistently follow Rich Island's recipes, cooking procedures, and quality standards.
• Coordinate kitchen operations with one or more additional line cooks.
• Maintain accuracy, organization, and efficient ticket times during busy service.
• Take initiative and help direct kitchen workflow when necessary.
• Assist in training and supporting other kitchen employees.
• Develop the ability to independently lead kitchen shifts.
• Communicate effectively with management regarding kitchen operations, staffing needs, and service issues.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked workstation.

Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 30.0 per week
