Lead Logistics Intern

About the role

Support day-to-day Lead Logistics activities while gaining practical exposure to supply chain operations, customer experience, documentation, data analysis, and stakeholder coordination. Working under the guidance of a Team Leader or Manager, the intern will complete assigned tasks accurately, follow established procedures, and contribute ideas that improve service delivery and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Support assigned operational and administrative activities in line with team priorities and agreed service levels.
• Prepare, check, and maintain shipment, customer, and operational documentation accurately and on time.
• Update trackers, reports, and system records using information provided by the team and relevant stakeholders.
• Coordinate routine follow-ups with internal teams and, where assigned, customers or service partners.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures, internal controls, data privacy requirements, and Maersk policies.
• Respond to routine enquiries promptly and escalate exceptions, risks, or unclear instructions to the supervisor.
• Participate in team meetings, learning sessions, and process-improvement activities.
• Complete other internship-related tasks and learning assignments agreed with the supervisor.

About you

• Currently pursuing, or recently completed, a degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Business, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• Able to communicate clearly in written and spoken English.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
• Organised, attentive to detail, and able to manage assigned tasks and deadlines.
• Collaborative, curious, and willing to learn, ask questions, and receive feedback.
• Basic knowledge of logistics or supply chain concepts is an advantage but not required.
• Minimum required hours: 500 hours
