Lead Maintenance Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Maintenance Technician to oversee and coordinate maintenance operations across our facilities. In this vital role, you will lead a team of skilled technicians, ensuring the reliable operation of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the facilities maintenance team, managing daily activities to ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and other critical systems using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) tools.
• Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical systems, electrical systems—including high voltage and low voltage circuits—and HVAC units utilizing schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering troubleshooting techniques.
• Oversee the inspection, diagnosis, and repair of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other automation equipment to optimize operational performance.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with OSHA safety regulations and company safety policies; conduct safety audits and promote a culture of safety awareness.
• Manage facilities maintenance projects from planning through execution, coordinating resources effectively to meet deadlines.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance work orders, inspections, safety reports, and asset management using CMMS software; generate reports for management review.
• Train team members on proper maintenance repair procedures, safety protocols, and the use of diagnostic tools such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and multimeters.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot system issues and implement upgrades or repairs that enhance operational efficiency.
• Manage parts inventory levels for mechanical systems repair parts including HVAC components, plumbing supplies, electrical parts, and high-voltage equipment.

Experience

• Proven management experience supervising facilities or industrial maintenance teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Extensive knowledge of mechanical systems repair including HVAC systems—installation, troubleshooting, repair—and plumbing system maintenance.
• Strong electrical experience with the ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams; familiarity with high voltage (HV) and low voltage (LV) electrical systems is essential.
• Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), industrial automation equipment, and engineering troubleshooting techniques.
• Proficiency in using CMMS software for work order management; familiarity with Microsoft Office applications for reporting purposes.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations related to industrial maintenance; ability to enforce safety procedures effectively.
• Skilled in managing facilities maintenance projects from conception through completion with excellent organizational skills.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities including supervising teams, managing facilities maintenance teams effectively, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
