Lead Maintenance Technician

Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Maintenance Technician to oversee and coordinate maintenance operations across our facilities. This role is vital in ensuring the optimal performance, safety, and reliability of carpentry, electrical, and plumbing systems. As a leader in facilities maintenance management, you will supervise a team of technicians, manage maintenance repair procedures, and ensure compliance with safety regulations such as OSHA standards. Your expertise in building maintenance, engineering troubleshooting, and project management will drive continuous improvement and operational excellence within our organization. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead a skilled team dedicated to maintaining high standards of facility functionality. This position may require light travel.

Duties

• Lead and supervise facilities maintenance teams, assigning tasks and monitoring performance to ensure timely completion of maintenance projects
• Oversee the repair and maintenance of carpentry scopes, electrical systems, plumbing systems, HVAC units, and other building related items.
• Conduct troubleshooting and repairs using construction principles and diagnostic tools and other testing devices to identify issues quickly and accurately
• Manage facilities maintenance projects from planning through execution, ensuring adherence to safety regulations like OSHA standards
• Maintain compliance with safety regulations by implementing proper procedures for electrical work, plumbing repairs, and carpentry related scopes.
• Train and mentor team members on maintenance repair procedures, safety protocols, schematics interpretation, and equipment operation
• Work hand in hand for daily operations with the Director of Maintenance.

Skills

• Proven hands on experience and management experience leading facilities or maintenance teams with strong team management skills
• Extensive construction knowledge including maintenance techniques
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively within a fast-paced environment
• Effective communication skills in English for clear documentation and team coordination
• Knowledge of facility management best practices including safety regulations, troubleshooting techniques, and facilities management strategies

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
