Lead Mechanical Engineer

Job Title : Lead Mechanical Engineer.

Location : Bellevue, Washington.

Shift : TBD with client.

Job Responsibilities :

-Lead the design of HVAC and plumbing systems for commercial construction projects.

-Serve as the Engineer of Record and provide Washington State PE-stamped construction documents

-Develop mechanical concepts and Basis of Design documentation -Prepare complete construction drawings and Division 22 & 23 specifications

-Collaborate with owners, architects, contractors, and consultants throughout every phase of a project

-Participate in project pursuits, interviews, and proposal development to help win new work -Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers, designers, and project teams

-Support Design-Build, Design-Assist, Progressive Design-Build, MCCM, and Design-Bid-Build delivery methods

-Review drawings for quality, constructability, coordination, and code compliance

-Provide technical support during construction including submittal reviews, RFIs, field observations, and problem-solving

-Stay current with emerging technologies, energy codes, and industry best practices

Required Qualifications :

-Washington State Professional Engineer (PE) License or be willing to get licensed in a short time frame

-Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field

-7+ years of HVAC OR plumbing design experience

-Strong knowledge of mechanical building systems and applicable building codes

-Experience preparing engineering calculations and stamped construction documents

-Excellent communication and client relationship skills
