Lead Mechanical Engineer

We are searching for a Lead Mechanical Engineer to lead new Product Development. This role drives cross-functional execution of the product roadmap, ensuring new products are effectively developed, validated, and launched. This six-person team works on a variety of mechanical, electro-mechanical, controls, and software challenges within consumer and commercial products.

Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the New Product Development team in all aspects of new product introduction to deliver against the product roadmap
• Establish and maintain a phased NPD process with defined deliverables from internal stakeholders, including performance metrics across functions
• Develop and maintain tools to track and communicate all aspects of product and product-introduction changes, accounting for evolving configurations and customer requirements
• Facilitate regular production meetings to coordinate interactions, communicate status, capture and ensure schedule commitments are met, and identify barriers for action and elevation
• Maintain rolling action item lists focused on barrier removal, accountability, and process efficiency

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a Chemistry-related field
• 7+ years' experience in new product development
• Experience and working knowledge of instrumentation systems and fluid dynamics
• Experience with CAD 3D Modeling Software
• Ability to lead a cross-functional team of engineers on multiple projects at the same time
• Mechanical Engineering skills with FEA, DFMEA, CFD, and simulation software
