Lead Mechanical Engineer – Data Centres | Spain

I’m currently looking to speak with experienced Mechanical Engineers for a Lead Mechanical Engineer opportunity within the rapidly growing data centre and mission-critical sector.

This is a permanent position based in Spain, working on complex, large-scale data centre projects within an established international engineering environment.

The role will see you take technical ownership of mechanical engineering packages across the project lifecycle. You’ll be involved in mechanical design and technical specifications, equipment selection, design reviews, risk assessments, vendor coordination, installation, testing and commissioning.

You’ll work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams, contractors, suppliers and other project stakeholders, making this a strong opportunity for someone looking to combine hands-on technical engineering with greater project responsibility and leadership.

We’re looking for someone with:

• A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline

• 5+ years’ experience in mechanical design, engineering and/or installation

• Strong knowledge of building services and mechanical systems

• Experience working on complex, technically demanding construction projects

• Data centre or mission-critical experience would be highly advantageous

• Experience coordinating contractors, vendors and multidisciplinary teams

• Strong communication skills and fluent English

• Spanish language skills would be beneficial

Location: Spain

Salary: €58,000 – €95,000 + package

Contract: Permanent
