Lead ML Engineer - Lane & Route Network Mapping

For our client, we are seeking a Lead ML Engineer - Lane & Route Network Mapping to join the team of a leader in the Manufacturing & Automotive space. This role will lead operational priorities focused on execution quality, efficiency, safety, and measurable performance outcomes. You will collaborate with field leadership, support functions, and cross-functional stakeholders to improve accountability, service delivery, and operational consistency. The position offers the opportunity to influence operational scale, customer outcomes, and organizational performance within a manufacturing environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $220,000 – $270,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and validation of neural networks for lane and route mapping
• Architect and implement a production-grade mapping stack integration
• Drive feature development from design to deployment, including mentorship
• Define end-to-end data strategy focusing on lane and route network curation
• Develop evaluation frameworks for network accuracy across diverse environments

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or related field
• 7+ years of industry experience in ML/DL model development for mapping or computer vision
• Expertise in vectorized mapping networks and BEV-based scene representation
• Strong knowledge of HD map geometry modeling and semantic attributes
• Proficient in ML/DL development using PyTorch or TensorFlow
