About the Role

We are looking for a heavy-hitting, hands-on Lead Software Engineer with a strong hybrid background in Backend Python Development and DevOps Automation.

Key Responsibilities

Build & Scale: Drive the engineering, feature development, and architectural scaling of our core internal AI Security Platform from its current early phase to enterprise maturity.

Pipeline Integration: Standardize and secure the deployment of containerized AI applications and infrastructure across the software development life cycle.

GenAI & Agent Governance: Implement controls, orchestrations, and integration patterns around LLMs and autonomous AI coding assistants (such as GitHub Copilot and Claude) used across the enterprise.

End-to-End Ownership: Take full technical ownership of features—from brainstorming solutions and prototyping to production deployment and defending architectural choices to leadership.

Cross-Functional Communication: Collaborate closely with engineering teams to clearly explain, document, and present technical concepts, security strategies, and platform capabilities.

Required Technical Stack & Experience

Core Software Engineering: 8+ years of total IT experience, with a minimum of 5+ years in dedicated, hands-on software development roles prioritizing clean backend programming.

Primary Language: Professional mastery of Python (building modular services, tools, or automation frameworks).

DevOps Environment: Heavy production experience orchestrating continuous integration and container delivery environments using Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes (K8s).

GenAI / LLM Engineering: Hands-on exposure to Generative AI projects within the past year. Deep familiarity with LLM APIs, prompt engineering, framework orchestration, or integrating developer-focused AI tools.

Independent Execution: Proven track record of operating independently to solve architectural problems with minimal hand-holding.

Communication: Exceptional verbal and written English communication

Pay Range: $80 - 95/hr basis experience, location and other factors
