Project Lead Profile and Expectations

Role Summary:

Successfully complete projects by handling day to day operations on a project (from a machine most of the time) with 1-3 operators/laborers while communicating and coordinating with Project Managers

Lead Operator Expectations

• Retain vision of Project and asks questions on activities, etc. if you do not understand a part of the project
• Read and Execute Plans.
• Be able to set up GPS and Finish with GPS and/or Model/s
• Leadership qualities:
• Willingness to teach
• Look for opportunities and moments to teach the younger people operating skills, knowledge of plans or any activities happening on project.
• Lead project with the support of a PM and COO
• Communicate if you have questions about the next step or a plan,model or schedule change. It is important not to guess if you are not sure of what should be done. Quick phone calls keep everyone on the same page.
• Forward thinking in the project on next steps and activities so as to be efficient as possible on all projects.
• Directly answer to Project Manager
• Speak with the PM daily on what was completed on the project, anything that seems wrong, any supplies needed, etc.
• Speak with PM when on site about upcoming activities on project
• Call PM if you cannot answer an operator or laborer question, have issues with an employee or employee is no call no show.
• Lend support to the PM and/or Dispatch in ensuring upcoming material, tools and equipment needed are scheduled.
• Responsible for monitoring weather and updating employees and PM if rained out.
• If Pace has subcontractor, Lead operator is responsible for communicating rain days or change of plans to subcontractors appropriate contact
• Handle relevant paperwork for Subcontractors and/or General Contractors
• Go over final numbers on Jobs with CFO and PM when final Profit and Loss is generated if needed and discuss any weak areas or areas of improvement

Pay: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35.0 – 65.0 per week
