Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Painter/Foreman to oversee and execute high-quality painting projects across residential, commercial, and industrial sites. As a key leader on our team, you will manage painting crews, ensure safety compliance, and deliver exceptional results that enhance the aesthetic and structural integrity of our clients’ properties. Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate painting crews, assigning tasks and ensuring efficient workflow throughout each project.
• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, caulking, plastering, drywall installation, and surface repairs in accordance with safety regulations.
• Apply coatings using various methods including brush painting, roller painting, spray painting (conventional and airless), and construction spray techniques.
• Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to accurately execute project requirements.
• Ensure all work complies with safety protocols, including proper use of respiratory protection and adherence to OSHA standards.
• Manage construction estimating for projects by assessing materials needed and labor hours to maintain budget efficiency.
• Inspect completed work for quality assurance using visual color comparison and technical standards; make adjustments as needed.
• Maintain a safe work environment by enforcing safety regulations, conducting site audits, and promoting best practices among team members.
• Collaborate with clients, project managers, and team members to ensure timely project completion while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in construction painting with a strong background in residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
• Skilled in surface preparation techniques including drywall finishing, masonry work, stucco application, caulking, trim carpentry, and restoration.
• Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, paint sprayers (including airless), brushes, rollers, and scaffolding or ladders safely.
• Knowledge of color theory for accurate color matching and visual color comparison skills.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings accurately.
• Familiarity with construction estimating processes and basic math skills for material calculations.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations related to construction painting environments; committed to maintaining a safe job site with proper respiratory protection adherence.
• Additional skills such as plastering, carpentry (including fixture installation), masonry work, maintenance tasks, handyman experience, or experience with renovation projects are highly desirable.
