Lead PHP Developer – Symfony & Salesforce

Our client, a prominent institution in the higher education sector, is seeking a Lead Developer to spearhead their technical evolution. This role involves guiding a development team through technical coaching while remaining hands-on in the coding, testing, and debugging of complex applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of developers through technical coaching and guidance.
• Execute advanced programming tasks including coding, testing, and debugging.
• Translate business needs into comprehensive functional and technical analyses.
• Manage the deployment of applications within a DevOps environment.
• Implement and champion Agile methodologies within the development lifecycle.
• Ensure high code quality through the use of automated testing frameworks and peer reviews.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in backend development using Symfony.
• 5+ years of experience in DevOps environments and production deployments.
• 3+ years of automated testing using PHPUnit.
• 3+ years of experience in the development of web-based applications.
• 1+ years of experience with Salesforce.
• 1+ years of experience with containerization using Docker.
• Experience performing functional and technical analysis.
• Professional experience leading and coaching development teams.
• You are proactive and solution-oriented.
• You are native in Dutch.

Nice to Haves

• 3+ years of experience with MySQL and PostgreSQL.
• Practical knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
• Experience working within a university or educational context.
