Lead Planner (mechanical)

Reports to: Lead Planning Manager

Role Purpose:

The Mechanical Lead Planner is accountable for leading the construction planning team and coordinating mechanical planning across the package of works

The role ensures mechanical Level 5 schedules and four-week lookaheads are integrated, achievable and aligned with the overall 16-week lookahead and programme milestones. It provides clear visibility of construction readiness, interfaces, constraints and schedule risks to support safe, coordinated and predictable delivery.

Accountabilities:

• Lead and coordinate the Mechanical Construction Planner.

• Develop and maintain integrated mechanical Level 5 construction schedules.

• Confirm activities entering the four-week window are sufficiently mature and ready for construction

• Identify and manage interfaces with electrical, HVAC and other delivery disciplines.

Key Deliverables:

• Integrated mechanical Level 5 construction schedules.

• Mechanical input to the overall MEH 16-week lookahead.

• Weekly mechanical planning and progress-review packs.

Minimum Qualifications/ Experience (in line with MEH Onboarding Matrix):

HNC in any engineering discipline

Additional Qualifications/ Experience:

10+ years in construction planning

You will have the following qualifications & experience:

• [Degree or 15 years planning experience if just C&G]

It’s great if you also have the following

• On site construction experience, preferably of mechanical packages.
• Operational experience, managing at least 1 other mechanical Planner
