We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Lead Pole Barn Builder to run job sites, guide our crew, and ensure every project is built to standard from the ground up.

Job Overview

As the Lead Pole Barn Builder, you will supervise and work alongside a team of builders constructing residential, agricultural, and commercial pole barns. You will be responsible for overseeing daily site operations, reading blueprints, managing materials, enforcing safety standards, and keeping projects on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Site Leadership: Lead and direct a crew through all phases of construction, including site layout, post setting, framing, truss placement, roofing, metal siding, and trim.
• Blueprint & Plan Reading: Interpret building plans, site layouts, and engineering specs accurately to ensure correct assembly.
• Quality & Safety Control: Maintain high standards of workmanship, inspect completed phases, and strictly enforce OSHA/jobsite safety rules.
• Material Management: Verify material deliveries, manage inventory on site, and minimize waste.
• Equipment Operation: Safely operate power tools, scaffolding, lifts, skids, or telehandlers as needed for post-frame construction.
• Client & Management Communication: Provide progress updates to project managers and communicate professionally with clients on site.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: 3+ years of experience in post-frame (pole barn) construction or commercial framing, with prior experience in a leadership or foreman role preferred.
• Technical Skills: Strong background in framing, metal roofing/siding installation, truss setting, concrete footings, and using power/pneumatic tools.
• Blueprint Literacy: Ability to read and build directly from technical drawings and building specs.
• Equipment Knowledge: Proficient in operating skytraks, skid steers, and aerial lifts safely.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 75 lbs, work at heights/on roofs, stand/kneel for extended periods, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Driver's License: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (CDL is a plus).
