We are seeking more than someone who simply enjoys working with children. We want an educator who takes pride in their classroom, values early childhood education, and is committed to making a positive impact each day.

  • Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate lessons and hands-on learning activities.
  • Create a positive, structured classroom environment that encourages independence, creativity, and social-emotional development.

  • Establish consistent classroom routines, expectations, and transitions.
  • Use positive guidance and effective classroom management strategies.
  • Maintain an organized, inviting, and developmentally appropriate classroom.
  • Observe children's progress and support their individual developmental needs.
  • Foster positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers.
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with parents and administration.
  • Maintain a clean, safe classroom and follow all school policies and Louisiana childcare licensing regulations.
  • Collaborate with fellow teachers and administration to maintain a positive, team-oriented school environment.

Qualifications & Expectations

  • Previous experience teaching preschool or Pre-K is strongly preferred.
  • Background in early childhood education, child development, or a related field preferred.
  • Must demonstrate strong classroom management and organizational skills.
  • Must be creative, energetic, patient, and genuinely passionate about teaching young children.
  • Must be dependable, punctual, professional, and committed to consistent attendance.
  • Ability to independently plan and lead engaging classroom activities.
  • Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
  • Must be receptive to feedback and committed to professional growth.
  • Must meet all applicable Louisiana childcare licensing requirements.

Our Ideal Candidate

Our ideal teacher is someone who:

  • Takes ownership of their classroom and daily responsibilities.
  • Understands that young children learn best through hands-on experiences, exploration, meaningful interactions, and purposeful play.
  • Creates a classroom atmosphere that is calm, organized, welcoming, and engaging.
  • Demonstrates patience, consistency, and confidence when guiding children's behavior.
  • Brings creativity and enthusiasm to lesson planning and classroom activities.
  • Recognizes the importance of preparing children socially, emotionally, and academically for kindergarten.
  • Communicates positively and professionally with families and coworkers.
  • Takes initiative, demonstrates a strong work ethic, and maintains high standards.
  • Is interested in becoming a dedicated, long-term member of our school community.
