Lead Pricing & Commercial

Purpose/Objective

The Lead - Commercial & Strategy will be responsible for driving financial planning, commercial governance, business strategy, financial controlling, profitability enhancement, and decision support for business leadership.
The role will act as a strategic finance partner to ensure financial discipline, optimize commercial operations, and support long-term business growth through data-driven insights and financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities of Role

Key Responsibilities Financial Controlling & Governance - Drive end-to-end financial controlling processes across business verticals.

• Monitor business profitability, margins, costs, and revenue realization.
• Ensure adherence to financial policies, accounting standards, and governance frameworks.
• Establish robust financial controls and risk mitigation mechanisms.
• Review budget utilization and monitor variance against approved business plans.
  Commercial Finance - Evaluate commercial proposals, bids, contracts, and pricing strategies.
• Conduct profitability analysis for new and existing programs/projects.
• Support contract negotiations through financial and commercial assessments.
• Develop pricing models and business cases for strategic opportunities.
• Work closely with procurement, sales, and project teams to optimize commercial outcomes.
  Business Strategy - Support leadership in formulation and execution of business strategies.
• Conduct market intelligence, competitor benchmarking, and industry analysis.
• Develop financial models to evaluate investments, acquisitions, partnerships, and growth opportunities.
• Identify business improvement initiatives to enhance operational and financial efficiency.
• Present strategic recommendations to senior management based on data-backed insights.
  FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis) - Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning exercises.
• Analyze monthly financial performance and prepare management reports/MIS.
• Track KPIs, profitability drivers, and financial performance metrics.
• Prepare scenario-based financial models and sensitivity analyses.
• Provide recommendations for cost optimization and business expansion.
  Stakeholder Management - Partner with Business Heads, Finance Teams, Operations, Procurement, and Leadership Teams.
• Act as a trusted advisor for strategic and commercial decision-making.
• Present financial and strategic insights to senior leadership and executive management

Technical Competencies

Qualifications and Experience

Educational Qualification - MBA (Finance) from Tier-1 B-Schools with IIM Graduates strongly preferred.

• CA/CFA qualification will be an added advantage.
  Experience - 8-15 years of experience in Commercial Finance, Strategy, FP&A, Financial Controlling, Investment Analysis, or Business Finance roles.
• Experience in Defence, Aerospace, Manufacturing, Engineering, Infrastructure, EPC, Industrial, or Technology sectors preferred.
