Lead Process Engineer (Water Treatment/MNC)

About the role

Lead process and mechanical engineering activities for water and wastewater treatment projects. This role involves developing process design deliverables, performing engineering calculations, coordinating across disciplines, and providing technical support throughout project lifecycle from FEED through commissioning and warranty stages.

Key responsibilities

• Lead process and mechanical engineering activities for water and wastewater treatment projects
• Develop PFDs, UFDs, P&IDs, heat & mass balances, process philosophies and technical reports
• Perform equipment and line sizing, hydraulic calculations and process studies
• Prepare process datasheets, specifications, technical queries and engineering deliverables
• Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and other engineering disciplines
• Review vendor documents and ensure designs meet project and client requirements
• Support process safety studies, design reviews, commissioning and start-up activities
• Provide technical support for troubleshooting and optimization of operating plants
• Participate in client, vendor and project meetings and resolve engineering issues
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to design improvements and lessons learned

About you

• Degree in Chemical, Environmental, Process Engineering, Science or related discipline

• Minimum 8 years' experience in industrial water/wastewater treatment

• Strong knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes and process design

• Experience in FEED, EPC projects and packaged/skid-based treatment systems

• Willingness to travel
