Lead PV Automation Engineer

Job Summary The Lead Product Validation Automation Engineer is responsible for leading the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of automation solutions supporting Product Validation (PV) activities. This is a hands-on technical leadership role focused on improving test efficiency, consistency, and engineering productivity through automation frameworks, tools, and emerging technologies.

The engineer will work closely with PV engineers and subject matter experts to understand test objectives, identify automation opportunities, and guide the implementation of scalable and maintainable automation solutions. The role will also help drive AI transformation within PV by identifying and applying AI-assisted technologies to engineering and automation workflows.

The role provides technical guidance to team members, supports technical problem solving and solution design, and evaluates new automation and AI technologies to continuously improve PV engineering capabilities.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong technical and problem-solving skills, capable of working independently while providing technical direction and support to the Automation team.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Lead the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of automation solutions for PV test cases and validation workflows.
• Develop scripts, test suites, automation frameworks, and tools to improve validation efficiency and engineering productivity.
• Work closely with PV engineers and subject matter experts to understand test objectives and recommend appropriate automation approaches.
• Provide technical guidance and support to Automation engineers, including solution design, technical reviews, and problem solving.
• Identify opportunities to improve automation architecture, maintainability, scalability, and reliability.
• Drive the adoption of AI-assisted technologies within PV automation and engineering workflows to improve productivity and engineering efficiency.
• Evaluate and adopt emerging automation and AI technologies to continuously enhance PV engineering capabilities.
• Support troubleshooting and continuous improvement of existing automation solutions.
• May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Job Qualifications / Knowledge Requirements

• BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of relevant engineering or automation development experience.
• Strong programming and scripting experience, particularly with Python.
• Experience with automation frameworks, test automation, and software development practices.
• Familiarity with tools and technologies such as Jenkins, Git, Linux, and Robot Framework is preferred.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted engineering tools and their application to automation or software development is preferred.
• Strong technical problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision and proactively identify and resolve technical issues.
• Ability to provide technical guidance and collaborate effectively with engineers and subject matter experts.
• Good communication skills in both Chinese and English.
• Flexible and adaptable to changing requirements, technologies, and engineering environments.
