Duties

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of backend systems using Python, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop APIs, RESTful services, and web applications that deliver seamless user experiences.
• Architect system solutions by applying best practices in system design, distributed computing, and cloud infrastructure such as AWS or Azure.
• Oversee code reviews, enforce coding standards, and implement version control strategies using tools like GitHub, TFS, or SVN.
• Drive Agile software development processes including Scrum and Kanban to ensure timely delivery of high-quality features.
• Develop comprehensive unit tests and debugging procedures to maintain code integrity and reliability across all projects.
• Mentor junior developers, promote best practices in software engineering, and foster a collaborative team environment focused on continuous improvement.

Experience

• Proven experience as a Lead Python Developer or similar role with extensive knowledge of Python frameworks and libraries.
• Strong background in system design for large-scale distributed systems and web development environments.
• Hands-on expertise with ASP.NET Core, React.js (including React Express), JavaScript, HTML/CSS for full-stack development.
• Familiarity with relational databases such as SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, along with NoSQL databases like MongoDB.
• Experience working with cloud platforms including AWS or Azure for deploying scalable applications.
• Proficiency in software engineering principles including UML modeling, SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle), CI/CD pipelines, and version control systems like Git or TFS.
• Knowledge of multithreading, application design patterns (OOP), web services (SOAP/REST), WCF, Hibernate, and system security best practices.
• Ability to work within Agile environments utilizing Scrum methodologies while managing multiple priorities effectively.
