Lead QA Automation Engineer

QTech is looking for a technically strong Lead QA Automation Engineer (Python / Playwright) to ensure the high quality, reliability, and security of our fintech platforms, backend services, and automated internal workflows.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust automated testing frameworks for Web, Mobile, and API services using Python.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions / GitLab CI) for continuous testing and deployment validation.
• Design, execute, and maintain end-to-end (E2E), integration, regression, and functional test scenarios.
• Develop and maintain automated tests for AI assistants, chatbots, and automated workflows to ensure response accuracy, fallback handling, and guardrail compliance.
• Test microservices, REST APIs, and event-driven architectures (webhooks, queues) for data integrity, performance, and error handling.
• Collaborate closely with developers, DevOps, and product teams to analyze requirements, identify edge cases, and define acceptance criteria.
• Perform root-cause analysis on test failures, track defects in Jira, and verify complex bug fixes. Conduct performance, load, and basic security/penetration testing across corporate and production environments.
• Maintain clear technical documentation for test plans, test coverage, and automation architecture.

Mandatory experience:

• 5+ years of hands-on software testing and quality assurance experience, with 3+ years in QA Automation. Strong proficiency in Python and modern automation frameworks (Playwright, PyTest, or Selenium).
• Deep practical experience with API testing (REST, JSON, Webhooks, Postman, Requests, or HTTPX).
• Solid experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins).
• Strong hands-on experience with version control (Git) and Git-based workflows.
• Demonstrated experience testing complex web applications, microservices, and databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL).
• Understanding of modern software architecture, authentication mechanisms (OAuth2, SAML, JWT), and security best practices.
• Experience with test management tools and defect tracking systems (Jira, Xray, or TestRail). Good understanding of Linux/Unix environments, Docker, and basic shell scripting (Bash).
• Good spoken and written English.

Nice to have:

• Experience in testing AI models, LLM integrations, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), or conversational bots. Hands-on experience with performance testing tools (Locust, JMeter, or k6).
• Experience with mobile automation testing (Appium).
• Knowledge of test automation for workflow platforms (e.g., n8n, Zapier) or SaaS integrations. Experience in fintech, payment gateways, PCI DSS, or ISO 27001 compliant environments. Familiarity with contract testing (Pact) or service virtualization.
