About the job:

We are looking for a Senior Data Tester to support database and data testing activities. The role involves developing test strategies, identifying risks and dependencies, evaluating data sources, validating data integrity, and executing tests to identify issues and discrepancies. The Senior Data Tester will work closely with data analysts, developers, and other stakeholders to maintain and improve data quality throughout the data lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

• Test current products and identify deficiencies in the Data Warehouse or Data Hub.
• Suggest solutions to identified product problems.
• Investigate product quality and recommend improvements to enhance customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with the Development team to ensure consistent project execution.
• Identify quality assurance process bottlenecks and suggest actions for improvement.
• Support continuous improvement projects and collect quality data.
• Monitor daily and weekly regression test runs and support maintenance, operations, and release activities.
• Participate in product requirements, functional specification, and design specification reviews.
• Communicate effectively with local and remote teams.

Requirements:

• 7–10 years of experience in a QA engineering position.
• Strong ETL data testing experience using SQL and Python in a Data Warehouse, Data Lake, or Data Hub.
• Ability to develop test strategies and test plans when required.
• Knowledge of and experience working with Medallion Architecture.
• Experience building or maintaining test frameworks and tools.
• Familiarity with JSON, XML, document/data formats, and search technologies.
• Experience with enterprise databases such as Oracle, DB2, SQL Server, MySQL, or NoSQL databases is an advantage.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Good To Have:

• Knowledge of an additional programming language.
