Lead QA/QC Engineer

Vijay Tanks FZC is seeking a highly experienced and technically sound Lead QA/QC Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will oversee all quality control, inspection, and compliance activities for large-scale EPC projects, focusing on industrial storage tanks, pressure vessels, high-pressure spheres, and piping networks.

Job Responsibilities:

• Testing Oversight: Manage and arrange for all required non-destructive and mechanical tests as per WPS, PQR, and project Inspection and Test Plans (ITP).
• Audit Leadership: Lead and conduct periodical quality audits at the site, evaluate findings, and arrange for comprehensive audit reports.
• Client & Team Interface: Coordinate directly with client supervisors and project management to ensure all welding and fabrication issues are strictly kept under control.
• Welder Performance Analysis: Oversee the tracking and reporting of the actual welding history, repair rates, and qualifications of all project welders.
• Production Planning: Partner with the senior supervisor and construction managers to plan upcoming welding activities against quality controls.
• Inventory Control: Monitor welding consumables availability against look-ahead project requirements to prevent delays.
• Traceability Management: Ensure the team properly maintains the welding consumables register against the baking and holding oven logs.
• System Monitoring: Ensure that all site QA/QC activities are monitored regularly, updated as required, and compliant with ISO standards.
• Project Handover: Lead the final preparation of as-built drawings and successfully compile the complete final Dossier for client sign-off.

Qualification, Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Metallurgical Engineering.
• Experience: 8–10 years of QA/QC experience in Oil & Gas EPC in UAE.
• CSWIP/AWS welding certification
• NDT (ASNT) Level 2
• Lead Auditor (ISO 9001)
