Lead QC Inspector( E&I)

• Assists QC Superintendent to identify manpower and equipment histograms.
• Ensures all equipment in use by the team is calibrated, (where required), in good condition and sufficiently available.
• Organises and allocates daily workload to discipline team members.
• Ensures that required documentation is at the correct revision and available for review and use of the discipline team members
• Performs random inspections/audits on discipline team members to ensure continuity and quality levels are being achieved and inspections performed.
• As this work generally involves equipment and installation to explosion proof standards, a high degree of inspection integrity is required.
• Familiarisation and review of the relevant standards, rules, drawings, codes and specifications applicable to the Project.
• Notify 3rd Party and Client when required, of pending Inspection and stage release in compliance with the ITP.
• Inspect and appraise product quality and workmanship of installation in accordance with the PQP, ITP, and relevant standards, rules, drawings, codes and specifications applicable to the Project.
• All inspection results shall be documented.
• If any non conformity is found, documentation shall be raised to establish defect, corrective action required and prevention from recurrence.
• Interface with Construction Department and/or PMT regarding progress, work front availability and priority.
• Generate and maintain registers and progress reports as may be required.
• Compare all recorded information with the acceptance criteria and any other relevant clauses in the applicable standards.
• Ensures that non-conforming product dispensation and location is known, parts are marked and segregated and all non-conformities corrected and recorded.
• Point of contact for both Company internal and Client quality audits for the specific discipline.
• Identify training needs within subordinates and recommend candidates.
• In addition to the above, shall be responsible for other duties assigned by the QC Superintendent.
