What they need

About us

CBH is a leader in the Australian grain industry and the country's largest co-operative. Our work has meaning and is creating an exciting future - we're delivering WA's grain to the world. Our advanced logistics network stretches across the State, connecting the growers of WA with our customers, and providing opportunities for career growth in different roles and locations.

Ready to make an impact on a global scale with a local company?

We are CBH. We are what you're looking for.

The Role

This is a great opportunity to use your rail logistics experience in a role that has a direct impact on how WA grain moves from sites to port, and ultimately to customers around the world. As Lead - Rail Performance, you will help improve the reliability and efficiency of CBH's rail network by bringing stakeholders together, working through constraints and supporting practical performance improvements.

You will work closely with scheduling, planning, operations, rail operators and infrastructure partners, using your experience to understand risks, challenge assumptions and support stronger network outcomes.

Responsibilities include:

  • Facilitate discussions with internal teams, rail operators and infrastructure partners to support reliable rail performance.
  • Review the operator's rail schedules, operational constraints and weekly rail orders to help align capacity with CBH's demand.
  • Monitor performance against the order and agreed schedule, investigate losses and share insights that support practical improvements.
  • Provide rail operations advice to schedulers, planners and project teams to support safe and efficient network outcomes.
  • Contribute to rail performance KPIs, reporting, workshops and improvement initiatives across the logistics network.

About You:

  • Previous experience in rail logistics, scheduling, planning or train operations.
  • Sound understanding of operational performance, network constraints and stakeholder coordination.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to investigate issues and explain performance differences clearly.
  • Confident communication skills, including the ability to challenge constructively and support practical outcomes.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office, with exposure to data-led performance discussions regarded favourably.
