This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll oversee emergency mitigation work on job sites while helping raise the bar on how restoration gets done in our community.

Job Description

As a Lead Restoration Technician, you'll play a key role in our day-to-day operations, making sure every job site reflects our commitment to quality and care. You'll lead documentation, demolition, and remediation on water, fire, and storm-damaged properties, guiding families through some of the most stressful moments of their lives with professionalism and empathy.

Key Responsibilities

• Emergency Mitigation Work: Lead crews in emergency water, fire, and storm mitigation according to IICRC standards.
• Documentation & Reporting: Complete accurate job site documentation and oversee job progress from start to finish.
• Team Leadership: Direct and mentor crew members on-site, ensuring work meets Dry Right's quality standards.
• Customer Communication: Provide clear, respectful communication with customers throughout the restoration process.
• On-Call Rotation: Participate in an on-call rotation to support fast emergency response across Southeast Michigan.
• Safety & Compliance: Safely operate company equipment and follow all safety and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• 1–2+ years of experience as a lead technician, crew chief, or similar role in restoration or a related trade.
• IICRC certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, and respond to after-hours emergencies as needed.
• Physical ability to lift 50 pounds and work in demanding job site conditions.
• Clean driving record and ability to pass a background check.

Compensation

• Earnings: $45,000–$80,000 annually, based on experience, with performance-based bonuses.
