Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise sales associates, providing guidance, training, and motivation to foster a high-performing team.
• Manage daily store operations including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and POS (Point of Sale) system transactions.
• Oversee inventory control, stock replenishment, merchandising, and pricing strategies to maximize sales opportunities.
• Develop and implement sales strategies through effective customer engagement, upselling, and cross-selling techniques.
• Conduct employee orientation sessions, interviewing potential candidates, and participate in recruiting efforts to build a talented team.
• Ensure excellent customer service by resolving issues promptly, maintaining phone etiquette, and supporting customer needs.
• Monitor operational metrics such as sales performance, inventory levels, budgeting, and payroll to meet store goals.
• Enforce store policies on safety, cleanliness, and organization while supervising shift management and ensuring compliance with company standards.
• Utilize management skills to oversee purchasing decisions, inventory management systems, and operational workflows for optimal store performance.

Experience

• Proven management experience within the retail industry with a focus on sales team supervision and store operations.
• Demonstrated proficiency in retail math including pricing, budgeting, payroll processing, bookkeeping, and cash handling.
• Strong leadership skills with previous assistant manager or supervisory roles emphasizing team management and managerial communication.
• Experience with POS systems, inventory management tools, merchandising techniques, and operational procedures.
• Bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly desirable to enhance customer interactions across diverse populations.
• Familiarity with grocery or specialty retail environments is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively while managing time efficiently in a fast-paced setting.

Pay: $24.39 - $29.37 per hour
