Lead Security Architect - Executive Director

A global financial institution is hiring a hands-on Lead Security Architect to develop practical security solutions across cloud, SaaS, applications, data, and AI-enabled services.

You will work closely with architecture, engineering, and operations teams to turn requirements into implemented controls and reusable services. The position combines senior technical direction with direct participation in prototyping, implementation, and operational readiness.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed security designs, reusable patterns, and reference implementations.
• Prototype controls and integrations to validate technical approaches.
• Partner with engineers through implementation and troubleshooting.
• Develop target-state designs and phased delivery roadmaps.
• Design secure AI integrations and associated data-access controls.
• Establish repeatable approaches for SaaS identity, access, integration, and onboarding.
• Design data protections covering classification, encryption, key management, and privacy.
• Guide technical delivery and operational handoff across regions.

Role Requirements

• Extensive hands-on security solution-design experience in global financial services.
• Current expertise across cloud, SaaS, application, and data security.
• Track record of designing and delivering implemented security solutions.
• Practical experience securing enterprise AI/ML adoption.
• Experience securing SaaS platforms at scale.
• Strong data-protection knowledge and understanding of relevant regulatory requirements.
• Ability to provide technical leadership across projects and regions.
• Ability to prototype and build alongside engineering teams.
• Strong communication with technical and business stakeholders.
• Ability to meet the NYC hybrid schedule.
