Lead Security Coordinator

District Wide

12-month position -6:30 am-3:30 pm daily

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

· Oversee and coordinate the daily operations of the school district’s security personnel to ensure a safe and secure environment for students, staff, and visitors.

· Supervise, guide, and support school security staff, including assigning duties, monitoring performance, and ensuring compliance with district procedures.

· Assist in the development, implementation, and review of district-wide security protocols, emergency response procedures, and building safety plans.

· Coordinate security coverage for district buildings, school events, athletic activities, and other district-sponsored functions.

· Collaborate with district administrators, building principals, local law enforcement, emergency responders, and other agencies regarding security matters and emergency preparedness.

· Assist in coordinating emergency drills, crisis response exercises, various safety and security trainings for district security personnel and other designated staff.

· Oversee the proper use and operation of security systems, including surveillance cameras, access control systems, visitor management procedures, and other security-related equipment.

· Perform other security-related duties as assigned by the Superintendent or designated district administrator.

Requirements:

· Minimum 10 years security experience

· Law enforcement or military service preferred

· Prior experience in an administrative or supervisory role is preferred.

· Valid security and driver’s license

· Proof of commencement of NYS fingerprinting

Pay: From $68,969.21 per year
