Lead Security Engineer

About the role

Lead Security Engineer role involving leadership of a Security Engineer team in implementing, operating, and maintaining information security solutions. The position requires designing, implementing, and developing network, system, and endpoint security architecture, while providing technical direction and mentoring to team members.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Security Engineer team in implementing, operating, and maintaining information security solutions
• Design, implement, and develop security architecture for networks, systems, and endpoints
• Provide technical direction, mentoring, and review work results of team members
• Handle security incident response, investigation, root cause analysis, and provide improvement recommendations
• Conduct security assessments, vulnerability assessments, and coordinate penetration testing activities
• Manage and optimize security solutions including Firewall, WAF, IDS/IPS, EDR/XDR, SIEM, IAM, VPN, and Email Security
• Coordinate with customers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure project implementation meets targets
• Prepare technical documentation, SOPs, implementation reports, and security improvement recommendations
• Ensure compliance with security standards such as ISO 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, and CIS Controls
• Provide advanced technical support (Level 3) for complex security issues

About you

• Minimum S1 degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Cyber Security, with at least 2 years as Team Lead or Senior Security Engineer
• Proficiency in implementing and troubleshooting security solutions including Next Generation Firewall (Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco, Check Point, or similar), Web Application Firewall (WAF), SIEM, EDR/XDR, IDS/IPS, VPN, and Identity & Access Management (IAM)
• Certifications in Palo Alto PCNSP/PCNSE/PCNSP, Fortinet NSE/FCP/FCE, Check Point CCSA/CCSE/CCTE, HPE Certification, or JNCIA – SEC/ JNCIP – SEC/ JNCIS-SEC
• Understanding of Network Security, Cloud Security, Endpoint Security, and Zero Trust concepts
• Experience handling security incidents, vulnerability management, and risk assessment
• Strong communication, analysis, problem-solving, and leadership skills
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Willing to travel for official duties as required
