Key Responsibilities

1. Electronic Security Systems Management

  • Manage and maintain enterprise security systems, including:
  • Milestone XProtect – Video Management Systems (VMS)
  • Genetec Security Center – Video Surveillance and Access Control
  • Lenel OnGuard – Access Control Systems
  • Ipsotek VISuite – Intelligent Video Analytics
  • Ensure seamless integration between CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, intercom, and airport command centre systems.
  • Manage system configuration, licensing, firmware updates, upgrades, asset registers, and OEM support.

2. Security Network & Infrastructure

  • Design, maintain, and troubleshoot security networks, including VLANs, multicast, QoS, bandwidth, and network redundancy.
  • Manage switches, fiber-optic infrastructure, PoE capacity, IP addressing, and network performance.
  • Perform network-level diagnostics using tools such as Wireshark to resolve video streaming and connectivity issues.
  • Coordinate with airport IT/ICT teams on cybersecurity, network hardening, and IT/OT segregation.
  • Oversee servers, virtual machines, storage systems, backups, and disaster recovery.

3. Team Leadership & Technical Support

  • Lead security systems engineers and technicians operating on a 24/7 shift roster.
  • Assign tasks, manage escalations, monitor service quality, and ensure effective shift handovers.
  • Provide technical guidance, root-cause analysis, and corrective action plans.
  • Develop team competencies through OEM training and certification programmes.

4. Operations & Maintenance

  • Ensure timely completion of preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
  • Monitor camera performance, access control devices, server health, storage capacity, and database maintenance.
  • Manage service-level agreements (SLAs), critical spares, OEM support, and RMA processes.
  • Enforce change management procedures, including approvals, rollback plans, and updated technical documentation.

5. Government & Airport Authority Coordination

  • Act as the primary Arabic-speaking technical interface with Jawazat (General Directorate of Passports) for passport-control CCTV, e-gates, and related system integrations.
  • Coordinate with the Ministry of Interior (MOI) and airport security authorities regarding CCTV footage requests, evidence handling, incident investigations, and compliance.
  • Liaise with the Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) for access approvals, security clearances, escorts, and permits for work in restricted military-controlled areas.
  • Prepare and present technical reports, incident findings, and system briefings in Arabic and English.
  • Manage personnel access badges, security clearances, and restricted-area work permits.

6. Performance, Compliance & Documentation

  • Monitor system availability, recording integrity, video retention, access control performance, and alarm response times.
  • Analyse fault trends, reduce video analytics false alarms, and improve mean time to repair (MTTR).
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports on system availability, maintenance completion, and recurring faults.
  • Maintain as-built drawings, camera schedules, IP/port matrices, rack layouts, and system architecture documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE procedures, permit-to-work requirements, and working-at-height and electrical safety standards.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in electronic security systems, including at least 2 years in a technical leadership role.
  • Experience in airports, critical infrastructure, or government facilities is highly preferred.
  • OEM certifications in at least two of the following: Milestone, Genetec, Lenel, and Ipsotek.
