Job Overview

We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Lead Server to join our vibrant hospitality team. As a Lead Server, you will be the cornerstone of exceptional guest experiences, guiding your team to deliver outstanding service in a fast-paced, fine dining environment. Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate the serving team to provide top-tier guest service, ensuring every guest feels valued and attended to promptly.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, and process transactions efficiently while upselling menu items like wines, spirits, and specialty cocktails.
• Maintain deep knowledge of the menu, including food preparation, wine pairings, spirits, and cocktail offerings to enhance guest experiences through expert recommendations.
• Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are consistently met by adhering to proper food handling procedures and sanitation protocols.
• Manage guest relations by addressing concerns swiftly and professionally, creating a positive dining atmosphere that encourages repeat visits.
• Oversee beverage service including drink mixing, spirits knowledge, cocktail presentation, and bar etiquette in both restaurant and nightclub settings.
• Assist with training new staff on POS systems, customer service techniques, food safety practices, and upselling strategies to build a cohesive team focused on excellence.
• Support cash handling duties such as processing sales transactions accurately and managing cash registers with integrity.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food preparation times and ensure seamless service flow during busy hours.
• Maintain cleanliness of dining areas by bussing tables efficiently and ensuring overall sanitation standards are upheld throughout the venue.

Experience

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments with a strong background in fine dining or nightlife settings such as nightclubs or bars.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with previous experience supervising or leading a team of servers or hospitality staff.
• Extensive knowledge of POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is a plus.
• Strong culinary background with familiarity in food preparation, wine knowledge, spirits experience, and beverage service techniques.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle guest concerns diplomatically while maintaining professionalism under pressure.
• Ability to manage time effectively during high-volume shifts while multitasking between serving tables, processing transactions, and supporting team members.
• Basic math skills for accurate bill splitting, cash handling, and sales transaction processing.
• Experience working in diverse environments such as fine dining restaurants or nightclubs is highly desirable.
