About Us:

Job Summary:

We are looking for a part-time Lead Server to work at our famous Food Stand in the West Adams area of Los Angeles (east of Culver City)! It's a beautiful, fun, and active property.

We’re hiring a Lead Server to support daily service operations and help lead our front-of-house team. This role is ideal for an experienced server looking to step into a leadership position. As a working lead, you'll serve tables but also take initiative in coordinating team flow, mentoring peers, and ensuring a consistently excellent guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead by example during service by working active FOH stations (server, barista, expo, host)
• Support and coach fellow team members to maintain high service standards
• Ensure smooth shift execution by managing floor flow, section assignments, and break rotations
• Provide thoughtful and informed service to guests, including food, wine, and coffee recommendations
• Assist with opening and closing duties, including setup, side work, and end-of-day reporting
• Serve as point of contact between FOH and BOH during service
• Handle guest concerns and resolve issues with professionalism and sound judgment
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and readiness of all stations
• Enforce health and safety standards, including proper food and beverage handling

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of serving experience
• Proven leadership abilities, even in unofficial lead roles
• Strong working knowledge of both table service and barista stations
• Excellent communication and team management skills
• Calm, clear-headed, and solution-oriented under pressure
• Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays
