Job Summary

We are looking for an energetic, dedicated Lead Server to join our team at Elmina. As a Lead Server, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional guest experiences by providing outstanding service, guiding team members, and ensuring smooth restaurant operations. Responsibilities

• Lead by example in delivering top-tier customer service, ensuring guests feel welcomed and valued from start to finish
• Oversee and coordinate the serving team to maintain efficient food and beverage delivery during busy hours
• Utilize POS systems such as Toast and OpenTable to process sales and manage guests effectively
• Assist with food handling, food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and proper food preparation procedures
• Upsell menu items including wine, spirits, cocktails, and specialty dishes to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
• Manage cash handling responsibilities with precision, including processing payments, voids, and comps
• Provide training and mentorship to staff members new and old on service standards, POS systems, beverage service, and guest relations

Experience

• Minimum five years of experience in food service or restaurant environments with a focus on fine dining or upscale hospitality
• Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable; experience with drink service, including spirits and wine knowledge
• Bartending experience or background in food preparation is highly desirable
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively during high-volume periods
• Demonstrated ability in sales techniques such as upselling and enhancing guest experiences through personalized service
• Familiarity with food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a restaurant setting is preferred

Pay: From $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
