Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Lead Service Developer / Engineer with extensive hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, microservices, API development, and enterprise integration architectures. The ideal candidate will have strong technical leadership skills, experience optimizing high-performance applications, and the ability to guide development teams while ensuring code quality and timely delivery.

Experience with AI-powered coding tools, distributed caching, event-driven architecture, and production support is essential. Candidates with a financial services background will be highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise applications using Java 8+ and Spring Boot.
• Build and optimize REST and SOAP APIs, microservices, and service-oriented and event-driven architectures.
• Drive solution architecture, technical design, and implementation using established design patterns and integration frameworks.
• Optimize API performance, resilience, scalability, and reliability using caching, messaging, and streaming technologies.
• Implement and manage distributed caching solutions using Redis, Apache Ignite, or similar technologies.
• Leverage AI-powered coding tools to improve development productivity, with a strong understanding of efficient token utilization.
• Participate in production support rotations and troubleshoot critical issues within defined timelines.
• Mentor junior developers and offshore teams, review code and technical designs, and ensure quality deliverables.
• Monitor application performance and troubleshoot issues using tools such as Datadog, Dynatrace, and Splunk.
• Apply software engineering best practices, including object-oriented design, modular coding, prototyping, and algorithmic problem-solving.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and maintainable software solutions.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 12–15 years of overall experience in software engineering, including 10+ years of hands-on experience with Java.
• Strong expertise in Java 8+, Spring Framework, and Spring Boot.
• Extensive experience with REST APIs, SOAP services, microservices, SOA, and event-driven architectures.
• Strong knowledge of solution architecture, design patterns, and integration frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with Kafka, MQ, and messaging or streaming platforms.
• Knowledge of distributed caching technologies such as Redis and Apache Ignite.
• Strong understanding of API performance optimization, resiliency, and scalability.
• Practical experience using AI coding tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, and Windsurf.
• Experience with production support, incident troubleshooting, and performance monitoring.
• Proven ability to mentor developers, conduct code reviews, and lead technical delivery.
• Excellent communication, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong ownership, accountability, and ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Good-to-Have Skills

• Experience with AWS cloud services.
• Exposure to Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and Natural Language Processing (NLP).
• Experience in the financial services industry.
• Familiarity with Datadog, Dynatrace, and Splunk monitoring tools.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Strong hands-on technical expertise combined with technical leadership capabilities.
• Experience working with distributed teams and offshore development teams.
• Ability to balance architecture, coding, performance optimization, and production support.
• Financial services domain experience is highly preferred.

Pay: ₹100,000.00 - ₹150,000.00 per month
