Minneapolis, MN - 3 days/week hybrid

$180,000 - $200,000 base salary + annual bonus

This is an opportunity to join a high-impact engineering team shaping the future of production AI systems at scale. You'll help define how AI agents are built, evaluated, deployed, monitored, and operated across a rapidly growing product portfolio.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead the technical architecture and strategic direction of large-scale AI agent platforms and infrastructure initiatives.
• Design, build, and scale production AI systems leveraging modern LLMs, agent frameworks, and cloud-native technologies.
• Own observability, tracing, monitoring, evaluation frameworks, and performance measurement across AI-powered applications.
• Drive deployment modernization through feature flagging, progressive delivery, release automation, and operational excellence practices.
• Improve platform reliability, incident response processes, and production readiness across engineering teams.
• Mentor engineers, lead architecture reviews, influence technical standards, and partner closely with product and engineering leadership.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Required

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, including significant experience operating at Senior or Lead Engineer level.
• Proven background building and operating production software systems at scale.
• Hands-on experience developing AI/LLM-powered products using modern model APIs and agent orchestration frameworks.
• Strong expertise in distributed systems, backend engineering, API design, and platform development.
• Deep knowledge of AWS and cloud-native architectures.
• Experience with observability, monitoring, incident management, and production operations.
• Strong Python development skills and experience working with PostgreSQL.
• Demonstrated technical leadership, architectural ownership, and mentoring experience.
• Experience implementing progressive delivery practices, feature flagging, and release management processes.

Preferred

• Experience with agent runtime infrastructure and enterprise AI platforms.
• Knowledge of retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) architectures and AI evaluation frameworks.
• Experience integrating frontier language models and multi-agent systems.
• Background in legal technology, compliance, insurance, tax, accounting, or other regulated industries.
• Familiarity with AI-native engineering workflows and developer productivity tooling.
