Overview

Chinasoft International is seeking a seasoned Software Engineer Lead to guide the overall system architecture and technical strategy for an enterprise non-gaming membership platform at a premier hospitality and entertainment group in Central, Hong Kong. Covering both a WeChat Mini Program and web applications, this platform powers membership operations, reservations across F&B and hotels, and entertainment bookings. You will champion technical coherence across a cross-functional Scrum team, lead architectural decisions, and translate complex business rules into high-performance, resilient engineering solutions.

Responsibilities

• Architecture & Design: Define and maintain end-to-end system architecture, non-functional requirements (performance, security, scalability, availability), and high-level designs (HLD) for APIs, events, and data integration flows.
• Delivery & Engineering Standards: Oversee technical execution across the WeChat Mini Program and web applications, enforcing unified code quality, design patterns, and deployment readiness checks.
• Incident Management & Reliability: Lead troubleshooting for critical production incidents via structured Root Cause Analysis (RCA); promote observability tooling, distributed tracing, alerting, and operational runbooks to curb recurring issues.
• Technical Leadership & Mentorship: Act as the primary technical point of contact within the Agile/Scrum team, translating business logic (e.g., membership tiers, reservation flows, coupon rules) into actionable tasks while conducting code reviews and technical spikes.

Requirements

• Experience & Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline; 8–12 years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years in a Tech Lead or senior engineering capacity for web or mini-program ecosystems.
• Backend & Cloud Stack: Strong hands-on proficiency in Java and Kotlin, alongside extensive production experience with Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Docker, Kubernetes, MySQL, Redis, and Kafka.
• Frontend & Ecosystem: Proven experience with WXML/WXSS and WeChat Mini Program frontend development, as well as third-party integration with CRM, payment gateways, or reservation engines.
• Modern Engineering Practices: Practical experience with AI-assisted developer tooling, Agile/Scrum lifecycles, and production CI/CD automation.
• Languages: Professional working proficiency in English (for documentation and global alignment) and fluent Mandarin (essential for vendor and Mainland integration partners); Cantonese is an advantage.
