Lead Software Engineer - Event Driven Systems

We’re looking for a hands-on technical lead to join the Trade Processing team at a global fund based in Singapore. The team owns the high-throughput, event-driven platforms behind the firm’s post-trade lifecycle, across its multi-asset strategies.

What you’ll be doing:

• Designing, writing and reviewing production code, while setting technical direction and mentoring a small team
• Owning the architecture of distributed systems built on messaging and streaming, keeping them reliable, recoverable and scalable as volumes grow
• Building new capabilities in Rust
• Kafka pipeline engineering

What you’ll need :

• A background in financial services technology
• Experience designing and building event-driven distributed systems with Kafka or similar messaging and streaming tech (Solace, Kinesis, RabbitMQ)
• Strong skills in any OO language and a desire to code in Rust
• Hands-on use of AI coding tools, with the judgement to check what they produce

Nice to have :

Rust in production, FIX, and post-trade knowledge across equities, fixed income and commodities.
