Lead Software Engineer (Kong API | Springboot)

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Lead Software Engineer is responsible for leading the design, architecture, and development of advanced software solutions. Leads the organization’s software solutions while following the best practices and standards set by the Software Development Group. Acts as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and technology evangelist for Delivery and Pre-Sales Group.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Converts the technical component design into a working back-end code and/or front-end code
• Consistently deliver projects on time and on budget
• Consistently apply generally accepted programming standards and techniques to assure efficient program logic and data manipulation
• Creates and maintain Unit Test before endorsing the application for QA Test
• Diagnose and resolve software problems quickly and efficiently
• Participates in reviewing project requirements
• Manages the deployment of the application to different staging environments
• Maintains and handle project source code repositories
• Provides an accurate project status report to the Project Manager/Delivery Manager
• Aware of technology trends with relation to system or software development  trends as much as possible
• Provides coaching and assistance to the team
• Oversees and manage all deliverables for each project
• Oversees and manage revenue versus expenses (EBITDA) within the team
• Participates in proposal generation; i.e. review of the requirement, designing application features and architecture, coming up with the development estimates
• Participates in process standardization and/or improvement on team-related tasks
• Formulates and manage initiatives to increase the skills, quality & efficiency of the team
• Perform screening and interview for all Software Engineer applicants.
• Other job-related activities that may be assigned from time to time.
