Lead Software Engineer, Plan Intelligence

For our client, we are seeking a Lead Software Engineer, Plan Intelligence to join the team of a leader in the Real Estate & Construction space.

This role will lead the design and delivery of a web-based internal analytics platform that supports plan portfolio analysis and business decision-making. You will partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions and to help shape the architecture, security, and engineering standards behind the platform. The position also involves forecasting effort, solving complex development challenges, and documenting design decisions and test outcomes to support high-quality delivery.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $155,895 – $207,861 annually

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Promote a collaborative team environment to achieve business objectives.
• Plan work estimation and forecasting for project timelines.
• Adhere to best practices in architecture, design, and security standards.
• Investigate and propose solutions to development challenges.
• Prepare technical documentation, including design evaluation plans and test results.
• Lead the design and delivery of an internal analytics platform for plan portfolio analysis.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in computer science with 5+ years of experience in a web technology stack, or a Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years of experience.
• Strong expertise in JavaScript with 7+ years of experience and advanced client-side and server-side development principles.
• High proficiency in React.js with 5+ years of experience and building performant UI components.
• Proficiency in TypeScript and modern React toolchain, demonstrating robust front-end solution architecture.
• Experience with Python and FastAPI, along with strong SQL skills in PostgreSQL.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services and containerized services using Docker.
