Lead Software Engineer, Product Development

The Opportunity

CXM Group operates CXMNet, the intelligent capital network for commercial lending, infrastructure linking banks, private capital providers, and credit unions to the demand channels that originate loans, powered by AI and real-time data at national scale.

As the Lead Software Engineer, Product Development, you will own the architecture behind a live fintech network already connecting thousands of banks to commercial loan demand nationwide. We're hiring a hands-on Lead Engineer to re-architect our AI-native lending platform for national scale. This is a true player-coach role based in Stamford, CT.

What You'll Do

• Own enterprise architecture end to end for a live, national-scale fintech network, from the core platform to the systems around it.
• Stay hands-on: architect, prototype, and build the platform's most critical and complex components.
• Advance AI-native capabilities, real-time intelligence, data pipelines, and machine-learning-driven features.
• Lead, mentor, and grow a product development team of engineers and business systems analysts.
• Set engineering standards, code quality, and technical roadmap, balancing velocity with the reliability financial infrastructure demands.
• Translate business priorities into technical strategy and communicate it clearly across technical and executive audiences.
• Build the security, compliance, and reliability practices required of mission-critical financial infrastructure.

What You Bring

• A hands-on technical leader whose credibility comes from what you can architect, build, and ship, not tenure or title.
• A track record turning applied AI and analytics into real, in-production product capabilities.
• Full-stack range — front end, back end, data — plus experience with the systems around a product (CRM, web, integrations).
• Proven success architecting distributed, cloud-native systems at national or enterprise scale.
• Experience in a highly regulated industry, with working knowledge of security, compliance, and data governance.
• A history of leading and mentoring engineers while staying deep in architecture and code.

Nice to Have

• Commercial lending, fintech, or capital markets background
• Experience standing up or scaling an engineering team at an early or growth-stage company
• Hands-on experience with React, AWS, and modern AI-assisted development workflows

Compensation & Logistics

• Compensation: $200,000–$250,000, based on experience
• Location: Hybrid, on-site in Stamford, CT 3 days per week; must be within commuting distance.
