Lead Structural Engineer-Dahej

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Lead Structural Engineer to join our team in Dahej. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing all structural engineering activities for complex industrial projects, ensuring the integrity, safety, and compliance of all structural designs. This role requires a strong technical background, proven leadership skills, and the ability to mentor junior engineers while collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee the complete structural design and analysis for various industrial projects, including process plants, buildings, foundations, and specialized structures, adhering to project schedules and budgets.
• Manage and mentor a team of structural engineers and designers, providing technical guidance, performance feedback, and fostering professional development.
• Review, approve, and stamp structural engineering deliverables, including calculations, drawings, specifications, and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
• Ensure all designs comply with relevant international and local codes and standards such as IS, AISC, ACI, API, Eurocodes, and project-specific client specifications.
• Perform advanced structural analysis using industry-standard software (e.g., STAAD.Pro, ETABS, SAP2000) for various loading conditions including static, dynamic, seismic, and wind.
• Develop and review detailed design calculations for steel structures, reinforced concrete structures, equipment foundations, pipe racks, and other civil/structural components.
• Coordinate closely with other engineering disciplines (Process, Piping, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation) to ensure seamless integration of structural designs within the overall project.
• Prepare technical specifications for structural materials, fabrication, and construction, and participate in vendor technical bid evaluations.
• Conduct site visits as required to assess existing conditions, resolve construction-related issues, and provide technical support during the fabrication and erection phases.
• Implement and enforce quality control procedures and safety standards throughout the structural engineering design process.
• Act as a primary technical interface with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies, addressing queries and providing expert solutions.
• Contribute to the development of engineering standards, procedures, and best practices within the structural department.
• Manage resource allocation and project planning for the structural engineering scope, ensuring efficient execution.
