Lead Teacher

Description Gingerbread Littleversity is a licensed childcare center seeking LeadTeachers to support the following age groups:

• Preschool

To be QUALIFIED for the Lead Teacher opportunity, we require a high school diplomaand the ability to pass all background checks. We also required an associate's or a bachelor'sdegree in early childhood education or a a completedassociate's or bachelor's degree with at least 12 credits of early childhood education or their equivalent. A plus if you have previous childcare experience!

Required Shift: Monday - Friday, 7:30am-4:30pm

Compensation: $17-$19 per hour, based on education and experience

Our Hiring Process for Early Childhood Teachers:

MainJob Responsibilities for Lead Teachers:

• Prepare lesson plans that are developmentally appropriate one week in advance using current curriculum guides.
• Implement lesson plans/curriculum on a weekly basis covering all areas of child development and carryout lesson plans according to classroom schedule/daily routine; Useour parent communication appefficiently.
• Establish a professional level of rapport with each family to provide quality care for the children.
• Responsible for the safety and well-being of each child, responding to their emotional needs; andmaintaining an organized, clean, safe, and appropriately decorated classroom.
• Maintaina child assessment and portfoliofor each child, as well as conduct biannual parent/teacher conferences during the month of November and May.
• Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing,walking,running,and climbing stairs.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
• Carry out the daily responsibilities of the classroom relating to the care of the children.
