Lead Teacher

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Lead Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the learning experiences of our students, fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes childhood development. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other educators, parents, and support staff. The Lead Teacher will be responsible for developing and implementing engaging curricula tailored to the needs of each child, particularly focusing on early intervention strategies for diverse learners.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that align with educational standards and promote holistic childhood development.
• Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages student engagement, exploration, and learning.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding student progress and classroom activities.
• Provide individualized support for students with varying needs, including those requiring early intervention or specialized education.
• Maintain a safe and organized classroom setting conducive to learning.
• Collaborate with other educators to enhance teaching strategies and share best practices.
• Monitor student behavior and implement effective classroom management techniques.
• Conduct assessments to evaluate student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly.

Skills

• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Experience in toddler care or working with young children or school agers in daycare or classroom settings.
• Proficiency in curriculum development tailored to early childhood education.
• Knowledge of early intervention strategies for children with diverse learning needs.
• Familiarity with deaf education principles is a plus.
• Ability to create an inclusive classroom environment that supports all learners.
• Experience working with students in private school settings is desirable.
• Understanding of childhood development theories and practices.
• Level 7 or higher on The Wisconsin Childcare Registry
• Must have experience

Pay: $12.50 - $15.00 per hour

Experience:

• Teaching: 3 years (Preferred)
• Special education: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Teaching Certification (Preferred)
• Special Education Certification (Required)
