Lead Teacher

Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Lead Teacher to inspire and guide young learners in a vibrant educational environment. Duties

• Develop and implement innovative lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including Montessori and other progressive methodologies.
• Lead classroom activities that promote literacy education, math skills, behavioral health, and social-emotional learning.
• Manage classroom behavior through effective behavioral therapy techniques and behavior management strategies to create a safe and supportive environment.
• Conduct assessments such as standardized testing and progress monitoring to tailor instruction to individual student needs.
• Collaborate with families to develop and review Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities or developmental delays.
• Mentor and support teaching staff by providing guidance on classroom management, curriculum development, and inclusive practices for working with children with autism or other disabilities.
• Maintain detailed records of student progress, behavior reports, and communication logs while ensuring compliance with privacy policies.
• Facilitate early intervention strategies and provide speech therapy or literacy tutoring as needed to support child development goals.
• Engage in ongoing professional development related to childhood development, special education, deaf education, behavioral health, and library services for early learners.

Qualifications

• Proven classroom experience working with young children in preschool or early childhood settings.
• Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, special education practices, and behavioral health strategies.
• Experience in curriculum development, lesson planning, and implementing literacy education programs.
• Familiarity with IEP processes, standardized testing procedures, and behavioral therapy techniques.
• Excellent communication skills for mentoring staff and collaborating with families.
• Background in working with individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
• Certification or training in speech therapy, behavioral management, or early intervention is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $11.00 - $12.00 per hour

• High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

• Childcare: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• CPR Certification (Preferred)
• Child Development Associate Certification (Preferred)
• Food Handler Certification (Preferred)
