Lead Teacher

Do you have a passion for nurturing and inspiring our youngest learners? Kiddie Academy of Olathe is looking for a compassionate, experienced, and dedicated Lead Teacher to join our team!

Position Summary

As the Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a warm, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment for students. We support students ages 6 weeks of age to 4 years of age and are actively hiring for a wide range of classrooms. The lead educator will be in charge of:

• Implementing developmentally appropriate activities using the Kiddie Academy Life Essentials preplanned proprietary curriculum
• Engage hands on with students to educate them through play.
• Create a nurturing and responsive environment that prioritizes the safety and well-being of each child
• Maintain consistent and professional communication with parents regarding milestones, routines, and daily updates
• Observe and document children’s developmental progress
• Collaborate with assistant teachers and other staff
• Maintain classroom cleanliness and follow all health, safety, and licensing guidelines
• Support potty training and other transitional milestones as appropriate
• Attend training and professional development as required

Qualifications

• Must meet Kansas licensing requirements for Infant Lead Teachers
• CDA in Early Childhood Education is required
• Minimum 1 year of experience working with infants in a licensed childcare setting
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Strong knowledge of infant development and responsive caregiving practices
• Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills
• Passion for early childhood education and commitment to creating a positive classroom culture
