Lead Teacher

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for the daily supervision and management of infant age children.
• Supervises the daily program for the class in accordance with the classroom expectations of Ruby Cashion Preschool.
• Integrates principles of age-appropriate growth and development and developmentally appropriate practice in daily lesson plans.
• Must have completed the 10-hr Virginia Preservice Training or willing to have it completed prior to beginning orientation if hired.

THE CANDIDATE MUST POSSESS THE FOLLOWING:

• Must possess a love for children and an ability to relate well with them, their families, and other teachers.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• A positive attitude and work ethic – must be a team player!

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience working in a licensed and/or accredited child care facility required.
• Experience with infants
• Preferred Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, Child Development, or another child-related field OR CDA.
• CPR certification is a plus!
• Must be able to pass a background check.

This for a Co-teacher for Infant room as well. Hours will be Monday through Friday 7-4

Pay: $16.00 per hour
